Premieres March 24, 2021 on Instagram @otherlyseries.
Papier Accordéon unfolds over a period of 24 hours, as two young women spend time together from a distance. One in Montreal, one in Toronto, they share their experiences through correspondence. Shot in 8mm, the film cleverly uses language and subtitles to capture the experience of relocation and getting lost in translation, emphasizing the feeling of urban desolation.
This film is part of Otherly, a series of seven short documentaries about belonging, premiering on Instagram Stories.
Papier Accordéon unfolds over a period of 24 hours, as two friends in different cities spend their time together from a distance.
