Sean Edwards named Producer with NFB’s Western Documentary Unit in Vancouver

September 17, 2026 – Vancouver – National Film Board of Canada (NFB)
Filmmaker and producer Sean Edwards is joining the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) as a Producer with the Western Documentary Unit, Executive Producer Tina Ouellette announced today.
Born and raised in Calgary and now based in Vancouver, Sean is a Chinese-Canadian filmmaker whose work is rooted in authentic storytelling and a strong commitment to creative collaboration. He brings extensive experience across all stages of production, along with a passion for discovering and supporting unique documentary voices.
Sean joins the NFB after co-founding Ramble Films 12 years ago, where he produced a wide range of projects, including personal films, music videos, branded content and independent shorts.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Sean Edwards to the Western Documentary Unit. Sean’s varied experience and deep roots in many creative communities make him the ideal addition to our team.
