November 2, 2016 – Montreal – National Film Board of Canada (NFB)

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and the Centre franco-ontarien de ressources pédagogiques (CFORP) are pooling their respective expertise to develop educational platforms and content.

The collaborative agreement will enable the NFB to deploy a unique interactive offer that is aligned with emerging learning needs in the digital age and provide increased accessibility to its content for schools in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. Content will be primarily intended for teachers, students in grades 7 to 12 and their parents, as well as libraries and community centres.

Quote by Claude Joli-Coeur, Government Film Commissioner and Chairperson of the NFB:

“The NFB is a longstanding and trusted partner of the education community and a recognized expert in storytelling, media training and learning. We are pleased to be working with CFORP to develop innovative resources that will allow a wider segment of the public to express itself and learn through our works and media productions.”

Quote by Claude Deschamps, Executive Director of CFORP:

“CFORP is thrilled to team up with the NFB to enhance the offer and accessibility of quality French-language educational resources in Ontario and Canada. This agreement allows our organization to further position itself as a leader in educational innovation.”
